Think it’s only Saturday that gets to have the Brunching fun in Dubai?

Forget the notion that “Brunch” is a meal between breakfast and lunch. Brunch in Dubai is all about afternoon dining, where family and friends can enjoy a lavish meal and a drink in a laid-back setting for an all-inclusive price.

While Saturdays are the new Friday (since the UAE changed the working week) and the most popular day for a Dubai brunch, Sunday brunching is rapidly growing in popularity as a more relaxed and family-friendly affair, where the focus is more on the food and service than the Saturday ‘Drunch’.

Helping you narrow down the Sunaday dining options in Dubai, our team have been scouting across the city for years to help you find the most enjoyable venues for a Sunday Brunch in Dubai.

1. Al Nafoorah Cedar Brunch

This high-quality, family-friendly Lebanese sharing-style brunch really sets the bar for a chilled-out Sunday lunchtime. With incredible views of the Arabian Gulf and Burj Al Arab, it is a great place to bring visitors seeking a variety of Arabian flavours.

The menu features a variety of hot and cold mezze options, including delicate kibbeh and carefully prepared Shankish, tabbouleh, and falafel, as well as succulent grills and seafood options. With its aromatic overtures, it offers a feast for the senses.

The overall ambience is enhanced with a live kanoun player.

2. Master Yum Cha Brunch at Shang Palace

Shang Palace offers its diners the delight of Cantonese/Chinese cuisine with an interior perfectly styled after the Orients. Their Master Yum Cha Brunch is served on Sunday afternoons and brings the tastiest Asian dishes that fit into the “too late for breakfast and too early for lunch” category.

A crowd favourite at the Palace is their Dim Sum, but of course, the menu also contains various soups, noodles, dumplings, and rice dishes.

Brunch is served in a table service style, not a buffet, which makes it perfect for a Dubai brunch with friends where you want to simply sit and enjoy the conversation rather than battle the buffet queues.

Where to find Shang Palace: Shangri-La Hotel, Sheikh Zayed Road

Saturday brunch hours: 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm

Mimi Kakushi

Aimed mainly at adults, this a-la-carte Japanese brunch is something to write home about (or at least post some shots on Instagram). Known as the ‘best’ Japanese restaurant in Dubai, the Mimi Kakushi Brunch is a real treat.

Start your meal with steamed edamame, a variety of sushi and maki rolls and black cod and prawn gyoza, as well as other delicately assembled Japanese classics, before moving on to your choice of main course.

We recommend the grilled tiger prawns with yuzu kosho dressing! Chicken teriyaki, grilled Angus tenderloin and marinated black cod are other superb options. A weekly changing selection of desserts concludes the meal with a sweet touch.

Where to find Mimi Kakushi: Four Seasons Resort, Jumeirah Beach

Sunday brunch hours: 12.00 noon – 4.00 pm
