Walt Disney World has released the full list of entrees, snacks, drinks & desserts for 2024 Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom, available November 8 through December 20. This MVMCP food guide takes a sneak peek at the special items available for purchase during this hard ticket event plus free cookies & refreshments!
For the 2024 Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party (MVMCP), Walt Disney World’s culinary teams have cooked up yuletide yummies (as the kids say). During that event, the highlight for many guests is stopping for the free* cookies, hot cocoa, and other holiday refreshments. There are stations to get these all over the park, and different cookies are served at each of them. (*Included with the cost of $120+ party tickets and undoubtedly built into that price!)
In addition to that, several restaurants and snack spots will be open and offering even more Christmas-themed items that are available for purchase. If our experiences in the past–and the stock photos and descriptions that Walt Disney World has shared–are any indication, some of these are worth seeking out, whereas others are a waste of time and money unless you buy food for Instagram photos.
Walt Disney World has not yet shared the lineup and where each complimentary cookie and beverage can be found during the 2024 Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. Last year had a slightly scaled-back list of locations:
Pinocchio Village Haus: Red Velvet Cake Cookies and Hot Chocolate- Columbia Harbour House: Chocolate Chip Cookie and Hot Chocolate
- Lunching Pad: Buttercream Green Cookies and Apple Cider
- Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café: Snickerdoodle Cookie and Hot Chocolate
- Tortuga Tavern: Buttercream Frosted Gingerbread and Eggnog
Walt Disney World hasn’t confirmed the free cookie and drink lineup for the 2024 Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and probably won’t until the first event is held and the map is released. However, we’ve already updated the above list to eliminate Pinocchio Village Haus, as it’s included on the list below as a restaurant that’ll be operating during MVMCP.
Assuming this lineup holds true, the best place to go for the free refreshments is Cosmic Ray’s. Not only did they have the best cookies last year, but also the most efficient setups. My hope is that someday Disney will restore a greater variety of offerings–the cookies really peaked in 2018-2019, with the Peppermint Crunch and Ginger Molasses Cookies.
I’m guessing that won’t be the case this year, though, as Pinocchio Village Haus is almost certainly eliminated–and it was home to the second-best cookie and one of the most efficient setups. Our fear is that Walt Disney World is scaling back the “free” options in order to push people towards the paid ones.
Personally, I’d recommend eating a big meal before 7 pm (ideally prior to even entering the park) and then just sticking to the free/included refreshments rather than buying anything extra. You already dropped $125+ for each party ticket alone, why spend even more money (and valuable party time!) on more special food?

Honestly, the food lineup for the 2024 Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party makes me a little sad. Not because it’s underwhelming or bad–quite the contrary. There are several savory selections here that sound like they could be winners. At minimum, they’re more interesting and ambitious than the bulk of the quick-service menus at Magic Kingdom right now. But that’s a really low bar, as discussed below.
This approach is baffling. I can understand wanting a few party-exclusive snacks, especially photogenic desserts. Those are always a draw at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, and do a little to help with event capacity. But the savory entrees? There’s no way literally anyone has been waiting to buy party tickets until seeing what Pecos Bill and Cosmic Ray’s are serving. Upon arrival, there’s likewise no one whose night will be made by the presence of these entrees.
Unfortunately, of the 15 items on the above list that are offered during regular hours at Magic Kingdom, 0 are entrees or even savory snacks. They are all drinks and desserts (and some of them are repeats of the same thing at multiple locations). It was especially disappointing to see pizzas that I’d love to try at Pinocchio Village Haus, because I simply assumed these would be available all-day since that’s a free cookie distribution spot. Nope, only available during MVMCP, which means it almost certainly is not a cookie spot this year.
Meanwhile, the menus at both of these colossal counter service restaurants have been bland and boring since the 50th Anniversary ended and the interesting items from that disappeared. Having a few interesting new all-day options would be a much-needed shot in the arm for both quick-service venues. My only hope is that there’s still going to be another Christmas menu for Magic Kingdom, as the regular options are even weaker than normal. (I doubt it, though. Walt Disney World doesn’t normally release separate food lists for Magic Kingdom and MVMCP.)
To that point, our List of the Top 10 Counter Service Restaurants at Magic Kingdom is looking pretty sadly lately (meaning the last 4 years). Several locations had pulled items and not added anything noteworthy, so it’s difficult to justify ‘upgrading’ any restaurants. Aside from Columbia Harbour House, it’s pretty much a race to the bottom for Magic Kingdom counter service cuisine.
I’ve always felt it’s odd to have so many interesting seasonal entrees at the Halloween or Christmas parties–the average attendee will try maybe one of them, whereas adding these to regular menus gives locals and Annual Passholders an excuse to make repeat visits to Magic Kingdom to try them all. But maybe I’m just biased as someone who will spend more time in Magic Kingdom eating during regular hours than party hours in November and December 2024. But is there really anyone who is in the opposite position–eating more during the parties than the days? It seems like Walt Disney World has this exactly backwards.
