Disney has released its lineup of seasonal events and limited-time festivities for 2025, with a jam-packed calendar of celebrations at Disneyland and California Adventure. This shares a list of the special entertainment offerings, date ranges for each event, and our commentary about what’s coming.
With the release of these dates, it’s also worth noting that Disney has already announced a variety of discount Disneyland ticket options and special offers for the first half(ish) of 2025. For Winter & Spring 2025, families can get greater value with a special offer on theme park tickets for kids, which can be purchased for as low as $50 per day.
For winter through early summer visits, the 2025 Southern California Resident Disneyland Ticket Deal is also making a return. This ticket deal is better than last year, seeing a very rare price decrease. However, that comes with a pretty big catch–if you buy these tickets, you’ll miss out on the Disneyland 70th Anniversary Celebration! It’s likely that Californians will get another ticket promotion for the second half of summer and early fall, so you can always wait–but that deal almost certainly will not be as good. Anyway, here’s the calendar of events at Disneyland Resort in 2025…
Lunar New Year at Disney California Adventure (January 17 to February 16, 2025): A tribute to Chinese, Vietnamese and Korean traditions, this multicultural celebration rings in the Year of the Snake with Asian-inspired food and beverages, vibrant décor and Mushu leading the way in “Mulan’s Lunar New Year Procession.”
In 2025, Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse will debut all-new outfits with representations of traditional Korean attire (see top photo). Other offerings include the “Hurry Home – A Lunar New Year Celebration” water short, daily live musical performances and Asian-inspired menu items across six Lunar New Year marketplaces and select dining locations.
Anaheim Ducks Days at Disney California Adventure (January 24, 2025): At Disney California Adventure, fans will be able to enjoy a cavalcade, appearances by select Anaheim Ducks players, themed games and more. Anaheim Ducks Day Overtime at the Downtown Disney District will be an exciting fan zone with entertainment, fun activities and photo opportunities.
Celebrate Gospel at Disneyland (February 8 and 15, 2025): A Disneyland Resort tradition for more than a decade, the uplifting annual Celebrate Gospel concert will return on February 8 and 15, 2025. The concert will feature performances by community choirs from across Southern California and award-winning artists.
Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival (February 28 to April 21, 2025): The Golden State’s gastronomic extravaganza serves up creative foods and beverages, cooking demonstrations and more inspired by the diverse cultures and cuisines of California.
The 2025 DCA Food & Wine Festival will feature ten marketplaces – including two with new themes – live entertainment and the return of fan-favorites such as Chef Goofy, and bookable culinary experiences. The popular attraction, Soarin’ Over California, also returns for a limited time.
Season of the Force at Disneyland (March 28 to May 11, 2025) – (March 28-May 11): “Fire of the Rising Moons” will perform nightly at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge with epic, new projection effects and galactic music – enhanced with fireworks on select nights. Plus, the Hyperspace Mountain overlay of Space Mountain will return to Tomorrowland, where you can hurtle through the galaxy and encounter TIE fighters along the way!
Disney Jr. Let’s Play! Party (Summer 2025): This one-day event at California Adventure and two-day event at Downtown Disney are set to return with lively entertainment, Disney Jr. character encounters and activities that families with young children will enjoy.
Disneyland 70th Anniversary Celebration (May 16, 2025 to Summer 2026): The Disneyland 70th Anniversary Celebration will honor seven decades of happiness and many moments of joy in the making. You will be able to “celebrate happy” with limited-time entertainment, specialty food and beverages, collectible merchandise and more.
Brilliant, colorful décor will adorn the entire resort, including an elegant medallion on Sleeping Beauty Castle. Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and some of their pals will dress up in new outfits in Town Square in Disneyland, designed just for the celebration.
Created in honor of the anniversary, an upbeat new theme song “Celebrate Happy” will be heard throughout various entertainment offerings.

Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort (August 22 to October 31, 2025): Wicked fun for all ages, this spellbinding season transforms the resort with autumn décor, characters dressed in hauntingly haute Halloween outfits and uniquely themed attractions.
Plaza de la Familia at Disney California Adventure (August 22 to November 2, 2025): The everlasting bonds of family and Mexican traditions of Día de los Muertos are honored through a cultural experience featuring storytelling and music from Pixar’s “Coco.”
Holidays at the Disneyland Resort (November 14, 2025 to January 7, 2026): Family and friends can celebrate the season with the lively Disney Festival of Holidays at Disney California Adventure, plus seasonal overlays on beloved attractions, cherished holiday spectaculars and dazzling wintry décor throughout the resort.
Guests can play the night away during fan-favorite after-hours events scheduled in 2025. These themed, separately ticketed events include pre-party park mix-in, shorter wait times for select attractions, unlimited select Disney PhotoPass digital photo downloads from the event, and more.
Disneyland After Dark (select nights from January through June): Disneyland will host four themed soirées packed with unique entertainment, rare character encounters and distinctive menus of sweet treats and savory snacks.
- Sweethearts’ Nite (Jan. 21, 23, 28; Feb. 4, 6, 9, 11, 13): Couples, friends and families alike can celebrate love with a new cavalcade on Main Street, U.S.A., a Royal Ball, encounters with character couples and lively music. A select number of pre-sale tickets for Sweethearts’ Nite will go on sale for Inspire Magic Key holders beginning Dec. 10, 2024, and all Magic Key holders beginning Dec. 11, 2024. Tickets go on sale to the general public beginning Dec. 12, 2024. All tickets will be on sale no earlier than 9 a.m. PT on Disneyland.com, and are limited and subject to availability.
- 90s Nite (March 4 and 6): Dance parties, sing-alongs and more celebrate Disney films, music and pop culture from this iconic decade. “90s on Parade” will have nods to past parades, such as “The Lion King Celebration” and “Mulan Parade.” A select number of pre-sale tickets for 90s Nite will go on sale for Inspire Magic Key holders beginning Dec. 10, 2024, and all Magic Key holders beginning Dec. 11, 2024. Tickets go on sale to the general public beginning Dec. 12, 2024. All tickets will be on sale no earlier than 9 a.m. PT on Disneyland.com, and are limited and subject to availability.
- Star Wars Nite (April 8, 10, 22, 24, 29; May 1, 4, 6): Galactic adventures await with appearances by Star Wars characters from the Light and Dark sides of the Force, unique gatherings and out-of-this-world photo opportunities. Ticket sale details will be announced at a later time.
- Pride Nite (June 16 and 18): This celebration of the LGBTQIA+ community brings allies and community members together to enjoy rainbow projections, colorful décor, fabulous entertainment and more. Ticket sale details will be announced at a later time.
Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party (Returning in 2025): Disney California Adventure will throw family-friendly Halloween parties including immersive treat trails, rare character sightings and unique entertainment. In terms of commentary, I don’t really have much to add that isn’t covered elsewhere. This is more or less the schedule we expected and hoped to see, with no major surprises.
Ultimately, we’re really looking forward to 2025 at Disneyland. We plan on spending a lot of time in the parks, attending every single one of the major celebrations multiple times.
