October Prime Day has been good but not great so far. It’s filled its role as an early Black Friday sale, offering discounts we “need” right now on toys, LEGOs, electronics, games–you know, the essentials. We’ve already rounded up the top sales with our list of the Best Amazon Big Deal Days Disney Discounts, and that remains our comprehensive resource.

For day two, we wanted to do something different and fresh. Since we often see the same deals during these sales, we wanted to share a brief list of new Disney deals that we’ve never shared before, plus our favorite finds on products we actually own (Disney and travel related or not) or bought during the first day. Hopefully it proves interesting, but if not, at least it’ll be a relatively short post by this blog’s standards!

As before, we’d encourage you to check out Amazon’s Spotlight Prime Big Deal Day Sales page for the biggest savings and most popular deals on a wide variety of products and Lightning Deals throughout the remainder of the day. And maybe you won’t find anything at all. The good news is that we’re only about a month away from the start of Black Friday savings, with the peak deal ‘season’ coming a few weeks after that.

Still, there are some very good to great October Prime Day deals, some of which are on par with or better than Black Friday. We’ve combed through the various deals to share the ones that are actually worthwhile. We receive a small commission from Amazon for your purchases, so buying through these links helps support the site. However, neither the price you pay nor our recommendations (or lack thereof) are impacted by that.

On with the list of the our Favorite Finds & New Disney Deals for Amazon Prime Day Deals for October 2024…

Walt Disney Presents “Wonderful World of Color” Tinker Bell Collectible – This is not a kid’s toy. It says it is, but it isn’t. Unless your kids are really cool. This special diorama is intended to remain intact within its window box package. As a new parent who has (painfully) had to remove tags and toys from their packaging, that’d be tough to do here.

Especially as there’s a button on the front of the vintage TV set-inspired package that activates an exciting light show. It’s just like the headboards at Disneyland Hotel, but in plush form!!!

The instant I saw this, I put it in our cart. It’s incredible. Then I got distracted, thought twice about whether we actually need this (and what we’d even do with it?) and didn’t buy as a result. It’s not exactly practical (I’m guessing that’s why it’s being clearanced out?), but it is awesome.

Walt & Mickey “Partners” Statue Hallmark Christmas Ornament – We’re big fans of Hallmark Christmas ornaments, but after going a little too crazy during a 75% off sale a few years back, we’ve taken a break. Consequently, we missed this little beauty last year. I’m sure it was clearanced out for more than 24% off at the end of the season in stores, but we missed that. So this discount is much better than the inflated prices it’ll be selling for on eBay ~5 years from now!

With 100 Years of Wonder celebration now firmly in the rearview mirror, there’s a ton of Disney100-branded stuff like this that’s being sold at deep discounts. It’s worth browsing the search results for Disney100 on the Prime Deal Days page to see what appeals to you, as we might have different tastes.

Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Sweatshirt – Very similar idea with the World’s Most Magical Celebration souvenirs. Admittedly, I didn’t buy a lot of merchandise during that for a couple of reasons–the anniversary was underwhelming and it was a time in the (real) world I didn’t think I’d want to remember. (Same reason we did not save our EPCOT New Year’s Eve 2020 hats!)

Time heals all wounds. I’ve found that I really like a lot of the retro styles of the 50th, including this simple and tasteful sweatshirt. Haven’t pulled the trigger on it yet–still debating whether to get grey or blue. The latter is my preference, but the text looks kinda funky on it. Anyway, a good enough deal at 20% off–especially as contrasted with current sweatshirt prices in the parks.

LEGO Marvel The Avengers Quinjet (40% off) – Perfect for anyone who wants to pilot the plane that’s been stuck on top of the roof of Avengers HQ in Disney California Adventure for the last few years and will soon (well, 3-5 years, give or take) be getting its own ride!

The Marvel Avengers LEGO buildable toy comes with a detachable display stand and 5 LEGO Marvel Avengers minifigures: Black Widow, Thor with his hammer, Iron Man, Captain America with his shield and Loki with sceptre.

It’s relatively rare to see LEGO sets for more than 30% off, and that includes Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales. Unless they’re based on films that flopped (like Wish), but this is based on Avengers Infinity saga, and according to my notes, those movies did okay.

Mickey Pants and Minnie Skirt 3D 7.4oz Double Wall Glass Coffee Cups – JoyJolt has done it again! The makers of the fan-favorite Mickey Mouse Head 3D Cups (which you should get first if you don’t already have them–cooler than this and also on sale), this looks to be another fun Disney cup option.

Looking cool is just part of the appeal. These are high quality cups–that are dishwasher (etc.) safe. The double-wall coffee glass insulation lets you cup hot beverages in your hands without burning. It’s a sharp style that has an almost floating effect. At 43% or 47% off, these are a great deal. (Another larger option is the JoyJolt Mickey & Pluto Sketch Art Mugs, also on sale.)

Joffrey’s Coffee – Disney Tiana Bayou Beignet, Disney Specialty Coffee Collection – Joffrey’s Coffee can be very hit or miss. The stuff sold at counter service spots isn’t my favorite, but I’ve been a big fan of the specialty blends served at Signature Restaurants and elsewhere.

This honey and powdered sugar flavor that’s inspired by Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is new-to-me, and sounds intriguing. At 34% off, it’s worth giving a try!

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Little Golden Book – Similar idea here. It appears that TBA stuff is being sold at a discount already, which is disappointing to see, but at the same time, fine by us since Megatron seems to like Princess Tiana and Louis the Alligator (no surprise with the latter, she loves all animals).

Not only that, but we need more Little Golden Books…that she likes. We have a ton of books, but there are only like 5 that she wants to read over and over again (the rest are for throwing!). One of these is a Sesame Street book where I’ve committed to doing an over-the-top Grover impersonation that strains my voice. So this is an opportunity to make up fresh voices for Tiana and Louis that are easier to do. (I’m sure you really cared to know all that!)

Santa Mickey Mouse Christmas Puzzle – I love everything about this 1,000 piece puzzle. This will be a great family Christmas-time activity to do while watching Hallmark movies (everyone knows you can multitask during those–only the last 5 minutes matter) in the living room. The price is certainly right at ~$8 or 33% off!

Funko Disney Hidden Mickeys Game – Although I’m not a fan of the figures, Funko has yet to disappoint when it comes to games. This one is on the simpler side, but should be tons of fun for small children–and work as practice for in-park Hidden Mickey hunting. At 47% off, it’s a great deal.

Frogg Toggs Ultra-lite Waterproof, Breathable Rain Poncho – It’s possible that we have recommended this at some point in the past, but I don’t think so. I used to have a super dorky Frogg Toggs rain suit (that disappeared under suspicious circumstances), but this is probably better and a more reasonable option for most people. At 35% off, it’s a fantastic deal. I assume it’s the exact same material as my rain suit (RIP) and that was great–durable and shockingly breathable!

Apple Watch SE – Now we’re getting into non-Disney territory, although I’d argue that this is the perfect accessory for the parks. You can use MagicMobile on it in place of a MagicBand, it’s great for tracking how many tens of thousands of steps you walk, etc.

After initial skepticism about the device being overkill, we love our Apple Watches. I use mine for sleep and other health tracking purposes, quiet alarms, and myriad other purposes. It has actually reduced my screen-time, which is a plus. I also prefer this version, which is the smaller, entry level Apple Watch. A steal of a deal at 32% off!

Bose QuietComfort Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones – This is a “bonus” item because I’m pretty sure I have recommended these headphones before, but nevertheless, they’re a gamechanger. Perfect for drowning out noise on long flights or when working from home or remotely in loud environments. We get a lot of mileage out of these, and although they’re pricey, they’re a great deal for October Prime Day at 43% off.

Calvin & Hobbes Portable Compendium – This was the formative literature of my childhood…and well beyond. I read Calvin and Hobbes well before I understood most of the jokes, and just took it at face value. Then I re-read it again and again and again as I grew older.

It’s now been a while, but I want to start reading Calvin and Hobbes to Megatron. Partly for my own sanity. I’m getting sick of Sesame Street stuff, and I think quite often she only cares about the pictures and voices I make, anyway. What I really want is the Calvin & Hobbes Complete Hardcover Box Set, but Megatron is a ripping hazard right now, so that’ll have to wait.

TTArtisan 11mm F2.8 Fisheye Lens – Not going to fixate on this since approximately none of you will care, but I’ve had my eye on a couple of fisheyes for the last few months. This one finally went on sale for October’s Prime Day, so I bought it. I’ll report results in my updated list of what’s inside my camera bag for 2025 (big changes–stay tuned). Another uninteresting thing I bought was storage, which is on sale via Lexar for those who care.

Playstation Portal – This thing might as well be called the “Dadstation,” because it is perfect for using in bed or other scenarios where you want to spend time with the family, but without being on the television. Such as when your wife and mother or mother-in-law are watching Antiques Roadshow. Point being, I absolutely love this and prefer its form factor to the Switch.

A few very important things to note about this deal. First, the Playstation Portal is NOT a standalone console. You must already own a Playstation 5–it serves as a “portal” into that. Second, this is being sold by Amazon Resale/Warehouse Deals, which is basically their returns division…and there are probably a lot of them on this device because people don’t realize the first point. Finally, it’s an extra 20% off at checkout, bringing the total to ~$140. Well worth it at that price from my perspective, but it definitely depends upon your use case!

Metal Gear Solid Master Collection – Much of my 2020-2021 was spent playing Metal Gear Solid 2 through 5. Like, an embarrassing amount of time. The original trilogy were among my favorite games as a teen, and I loved the final installment (gameplay, at least) as an adult.

I was never able to replay the OG, so I bought this during October’s Prime Day. Note that I’m not actively recommending this collection–it’s probably not a good option for modern audiences (e.g. today’s youth), but for adults of a certain age, it’s a great price on some of the greatest video games of all-time.

If you want a broad selection of the current deals, check out Amazon’s Spotlight Prime Day Deals page for the biggest savings and most popular deals. We recommend browsing for yourself a bit, and checking back often, as new deals are regularly appearing–and disappearing. Just be mindful of the fact that some of these offers are time-sensitive, so you don’t want to spend too much time procrastinating and end up losing out!

Also, check back here throughout the deal, as I’ll share more Lightning Deals as they become available if they’re any good. Oh, and if you find anything that you think would be useful for other Disney fans, please share in the comments below!
